Leslie holds a distinction no other injector in Arkansas has: she’s the only nurse in the state double-board certified as both a Certified Plastic Surgery Nurse (CPSN) and a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS).
Even more impressive: she’s Arkansas’s only ISPAN Fellow (ISPAN-F)—one of just 19 in the entire world. This is the highest recognition awarded by the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses, reserved for those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, expertise, and commitment to advancing the field of aesthetic nursing.

Leslie is 1 of only 19 in the entire world to hold the highest recognition awarded by the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses.
A National Leader in Aesthetic Nursing
Leslie doesn’t just lead here in Little Rock, she’s helping set the standard for aesthetic nursing across the country. She has been a dedicated member of the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN) for 20 years, marking her 20th international convention this year.
In 2008, she earned her Certified Plastic Surgical Nurse credential and went on to be among the very first to take the Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) exam when it was introduced, participating in the pilot exam in 2013 and completing the full exam in 2014.
Since 2018, Leslie has served on the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board (PSNCB), where she currently holds a national leadership role as Secretary-Treasurer—now in her second year of leadership on this prestigious national board.
She also serves as a founding member of the AmSpa (American Med Spa Association) Aesthetic Safety Council, helping establish safety standards for medical spas nationwide.
Raising the Standard in Arkansas
Board certification matters—not just for physicians, but for nurses too. In Arkansas, only a small number of nurses hold these advanced credentials:
- Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialists (CANS): 12 total statewide — 3 in Little Rock, 1 in Jonesboro, 1 in Mountain Home, 1 in Fayetteville, 1 in Fort Smith, 2 in Bentonville, 2 in Rogers.
- Certified Plastic Surgical Nurses (CPSN): Just 4 in the state — 2 in Little Rock, 1 in Rogers, 1 in Fayetteville.
Leslie was the first nurse in Arkansas to achieve both certifications—and remains the only dual-certified nurse in the state.
