The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has recently released their 2011 statistics and the rate of plastic surgery procedures is on rise for the second year in a row and up 5% from 2010. In Little Rock, cosmetic surgery is also up. According to a recent study in Canada, a facelift can help erase up to seven years from your face. Medical students and professionals reviewed postoperative pictures of 60 participating patients, men and women who had one or a combination of facial surgeries. Third Silicone Breast Implant Approved by FDA

Breast implant choices have grown with the recent FDA approval of a new silicone gel breast implant by Sientra Inc. With the latest approval, there are now three silicone gel-filled breast implants approved by the FDA in the U.S. They are manufactured by Allergan, Mentor and Sientra. Women More Satisfied with Their Sex Lives After Breast Surgery

A recent RealSelf.com poll of women who had breast implants and breast lifts revealed that they were more satisfied with their sex lives after surgery. The poll of 55 women who had breast surgery reported a 34% increase in overall satisfaction with their sex life after surgery on average. Natural Supplement Found to Have Anti-Aging Benefits

A small trial found that a natural supplement had anti-aging effects on the skin. Researchers at the Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine in Dusseldorf, Germany, had 20 female participants, between the ages of 55 to 68, take 75 milligrams of Pycnogenol each day for 12 weeks. Their skins’ hydration, elasticity and fatigue were assessed at the start of the trial, at six weeks and at 12 weeks.
