The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has recently released their 2011 statistics and the rate of plastic surgery procedures is on rise for the second year in a row and up 5% from 2010. Breast implant choices have grown with the recent FDA approval of a new silicone gel breast implant by Sientra Inc. With the latest approval, there are now three silicone gel-filled breast implants approved by the FDA in the U.S. They are manufactured by Allergan, Mentor and Sientra.
