Brandi Cyrus is the Latest Celebrity to Join the “Baby Breast Augmentation” Trend

So, you’ve been scrolling through social media and noticed something interesting: celebrities are suddenly very open about getting breast augmentation—and they’re not going big. In fact, they’re going remarkably small. When Brandi Cyrus (yes, Miley’s sister) proudly announced her 185cc implants, the conversation around breast augmentation shifted dramatically. The past year has seen a growing transparency about cosmetic procedures—and a clear preference for subtle, natural-looking results.

This transparency is refreshing, but it’s also raising new questions for women considering breast enhancement: What exactly is a “baby boob job”? Why are smaller implants trending? And most importantly, how do you know what size is right for your body?

Below, Little Rock cosmetic surgeon Dr. Rhys Branman shares his take on the barely-there breast augmentation trend, and what it means for patients seeking elegant, proportionate results.

What is this new “Baby Breast Augmentation” trend?

“Baby breast augmentation” refers to breast enhancement using smaller implant sizes—typically ranging from 150cc to 300cc—to create subtle, natural-looking results. You might also hear it called “ballerina breast augmentation,” “mini boob job,” or “petite breast augmentation.”

These terms all describe the same concept: enhancing your natural breast shape with just enough volume to create balance and proportion without the obviously augmented look that was popular a decade ago.

When Brandi Cyrus revealed on her podcast “Sorry We’re Cyrus” that she chose 185cc implants—which her surgeon called “the smallest implant he’s ever done”—she perfectly captured what many of our Little Rock patients are requesting: refinement rather than transformation.

Why are celebrities (and everyday women) choosing smaller implants?

The shift toward smaller breast implants reflects several important changes in how women think about cosmetic enhancement:

  • Natural aesthetics are in. Women in 2026 want to look like the best version of themselves, not like someone else entirely. The goal is enhancement that makes you feel confident in a bikini, a blazer, or workout clothes without announcing that you’ve had surgery.
  • Active lifestyles matter. Many of our patients at Little Rock Cosmetic Surgery Center exercise regularly, practice yoga, or participate in sports. Smaller implants offer the benefit of enhancement without the weight, bounce, or restriction that can come with larger sizes.
  • Long-term comfort is a priority. Smaller, lighter implants place less stress on your breast tissues over time. This can mean more sustainable results and potentially fewer complications down the road—something every woman should consider when making this investment.
  • The “GLP-1 effect” is real. With GLP-1 weight loss medications becoming so popular, many women are reaching their goal weight and discovering they want modest implants that complement their newly sculpted frame rather than compete with it.

Brandi Cyrus mentioned that everyone except her mom told her she’d regret going smaller. Her response: “No regrets because they look great.” That confidence comes from choosing an implant size that works for her body, not what anyone else thinks she should want.

What implant sizes count as “Baby Breast Augmentation”?

Dr. Branman typically considers implants in the 150cc to 275cc range as falling into the “baby breast augmentation” category, though this can vary based on your frame and natural breast tissue.

To put this in perspective:

  • 150-200cc: Very subtle enhancement, often chosen by petite patients or those who want the smallest possible improvement
  • 200-250cc: Modest volume increase, typically adding about one cup size
  • 250-275cc: Moderate enhancement that still maintains natural proportions

Brandi Cyrus’s 185cc implants are small enough to look entirely natural, but large enough to create the balanced, proportionate look she was seeking. Compare this to what was popular just five to ten years ago, when many patients (and celebrities!) were choosing 350cc to 450cc implants or even larger. The pendulum has definitely swung toward subtlety.

Does smaller always mean better?

Smaller implants aren’t automatically better for everyone. The “right” size depends on your natural frame, aesthetic goals, existing breast tissue, and lifestyle.

A 200cc implant will look very different on a woman who is 5’2″ with a narrow chest versus someone who is 5’9″ with broader shoulders. Some patients want to fill out a swimsuit more comfortably, while others want noticeable cleavage or to restore volume lost after pregnancy. Women with very little natural breast tissue may need slightly larger implants to achieve the same look as someone with more existing coverage.

The goal of a mini breast augmentation is to help you feel confident in a bikini, a blazer, or workout clothes without announcing that you’ve had surgery.

During your breast augmentation consultation with Dr. Branman, we measure your chest width, shoulder proportions, and existing breast tissue to determine which sizes will look balanced on YOUR body. We encourage you to bring photos of looks you admire—celebrity inspiration is absolutely welcome—so we can discuss how to achieve similar results for your unique anatomy.

“Dr. Branman recently performed my breast augmentation, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my results. He and his staff have been amazing through this entire process. During my consultation, he took the time to address all of my questions and concerns, and I was able to try on sizers to see what my end result might be. I really appreciate his attention to detail. I had zero bruising following my procedure, and the stitching on my incisions was immaculate. The implant size that Dr. Branman chose fits my body perfectly, and gives me the proportion I was lacking.
