Little Rock Cosmetic Surgery Center Only Gets Better

August 26, 2019 - Rhys Branman, MD

cosmetic surgery little rockYou might have noticed on the Little Rock Cosmetic Surgery Center Face Book page, that we recently had a Fall Open House in celebration of our new on site surgical facility. Our new operating room has been fully accredited the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, (AAAHC) as an office-based surgery center. Only 26 states require that physicians’ office private practice operating rooms be reviewed and accredited, and Arkansas is not one of them. However, at Little Rock Cosmetic Surgery Center, I want the best for my patients.

The AAAHC reviews office based surgery centers and practices and sets high standards when reviewing them. When researching what cosmetic surgeon to choose for your procedure, it is important that you research the facility as well as the surgeon. You also might want to know if the surgeon has hospital privileges. This is not only a good gauge for assessing your surgeon’s reputation, but also it also lets you know that your surgeon can take care of any of your special needs.

At Little Rock Cosmetic Surgery Center, patients are operated on in our AAAHC certified private in house operating room, unless there are pre existing conditions that warrant hospitalization. If a patient has special medical needs, I am proud to be in partnership with the exclusive Arkansas Surgical Hospital in North Little Rock. This physician-owned hospital ranks high in patient satisfaction scores, perhaps because of its 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and private hospital suites. Furthermore, the infection rate at ASH is significantly lower than the national average.

However, in office, there are always 2 nurses, so there is a nurse dedicated to monitor patients during post operative recovery. Of course all of my staff are trained in advance CPR, and I am always in the office. Usually, we use general anesthesia administered by a licensed nurse anesthetist, but if preferred or indicated sedation or twilight sleep can be used with some procedures.  When you come to Little Rock Cosmetic Surgery Center for abdominoplasty face lift liposuction breast augmentation, or any procedure at all, you can rest assured you are in good hands, and cared for in an exceptional facility.
