MiniLift Facial Rejuvenation

Little Rock

Today it is possible to turn back the hands of time with minimal interruption of your busy lifestyle.

The Minilift weekend facelift is a revolutionary advancement that tightens the lower face and neck in a minimally invasive way. This technique delivers similar results to a traditional lower facelift in properly selected patients. The Minilift is a one-hour procedure with minimal risk of complications and can be performed in our office under oral sedation. The Cosmetic Surgery Center is the only facility licensed in the state of Arkansas to perform the Minilift procedure. So now you don’t have to go to a hospital or be put under general anesthesia to have the facial rejuvenation you desire.

Am I a good candidate?

The Minilift procedure is an excellent solution for those individuals with lower face and neck laxity, which is mild to moderate in nature. While there is no ideal age to have the a minilift, women and men tend to be in there late 30’s to mid 60’s. Individuals should be in good health and have realistic expectations about their overall skin and facial conditions.

How does it work?

The Minilift procedure is based on a special double circular purse-string suture, which is placed in the sagging tissues below the skin. This special stitch lifts and tightens the underlying tissues giving the overlying skin a smoother look and simultaneously revealing a slimmer and suppler neckline. The stitch is permanent and therefore allows skin and underlying tissue to heal in this new position.
How does this differ from a traditional facelift?
The traditional facelift tends to be more invasive with a higher risk of complications. The traditional facelift is reserved for those individuals with very heavy necks and sever sagging tissues.

Before Minilift

Patients are instructed to stop smoking 6 weeks prior to the Minilift procedure. In addition, all aspirin and aspirin containing medications are stopped 2 weeks prior to the procedure. Your physician will also discuss the modification of your own medical regimen at your consultation appointment.

After Surgery

If you are only having the Minilift procedure then no bandages are required. In addition, all the stitches will dissolve on their own so there are no stitches to remove. You will have some moderate swelling and may have some slight bruising in the cheek area. The jaws may feel tight for a few days due to the tightness of the facial tissues. Make-up may be worn within 5 to 7 days of surgery depending on how quickly you heal.
