The SmartLift Procedure
The idea of facelift surgery can be intimidating, mostly because the procedure often involves a hospital stay, general anesthesia, and a relatively long recovery period. If you’re not willing to commit to such an extensive procedure but still desire the cosmetic improvements a facelift can bring, the SmartLift might be right for you.
With the SmartLift, we generally aim to achieve a facial renewal that appears natural and much improved, while minimizing the invasive aspects of the surgery. Dr. Branman utilizes several of the latest techniques in facial plastic surgery during this procedure. Incisions are made behind the ear and tissues of the neck and lower face are tightened and remodeled as necessary. Incisions are smaller than traditional facelift surgery, and local anesthesia with intravenous sedation is used instead of general anesthesia.
SmartLift Recovery
The recovery time needed is under one week for most patients, and there are no sutures or bandages that need to be removed at a later date. While the results achievable with the SmartLift are impressive and long lasting, patients who exhibit severe signs of aging in the lower face should opt for traditional facelift surgery.
