How IPL Improves Complexion
IPL works by targeting pigment in the skin. The light energy is applied to the skin and absorbed. The natural healing process is then stimulated, which works to eradicate the imperfections. IPL is usually recommended only for patients with fair skin.
Patients appreciate IPL because it doesn’t wound the skin, the treatment takes very little time, and the results can be realized quickly. Areas that can be treated include the face, neck, chest, hands, and legs. In many cases, the best results are achieved by undergoing a series of treatments (3-6) a few weeks apart.
After Your Photofacial
The improvements in your skin will appear gradually and when treatments are finished, you should notice a marked improvement in your complexion and skin pigment. A certain amount of improvement in skin texture can occur as well.
